ABC-korsord är en ABC-klubben-app för barn som håller på att lära sig läsa och skriva. Låt ditt barn samla föremål och djur och samtidigt träna på att att höra hur bokstäver och ljud låter och skriva ord. ABC-klubbens appar tränar den grundläggande och viktiga fonologiska medvetenheten och ordavkodningen. Med fonologisk medvetenhet menas förmågan att dels kunna dela upp ett ord i olika ljud (analys) dels det bakvända, att kunna sätta ihop olika ljud till ord (syntes). I ABC-korsord tränas särskilt förmågan att identifiera ljuden i ord och sätta samman bokstäver till ord. Hur låter bokstaven? Leta i korsordet efter rätt plats för bokstaven. På nivå 2 väljer barnen bland alla alfabetets bokstäver för att sätta samman ord. När hela korsordet är lagt är spelomgången slut och spelaren får en stjärna som belöning. Svårighetsgraden kan anpassas på olika sätt så att övningen blir på rätt nivå för barnet, t.ex. genom val av versaler/gemener. När en bokstavsgrupp är avklarad dyker ett föremål eller djur upp vid den aktuella bokstavsgruppen på startsidan. Detta visar också hur långt barnet har kommit i appen. En del barn känner nog igen bilderna och övningarna från skolan. ABC-klubben är ett väl spritt läromedel i läs- och skrivinlärning för förskoleklass–årskurs 3. Produktionsstöd till detta läromedel har erhållits från Specialpedagogiska skolmyndigheten.
